Art Form Is… A Modern Design Series

Art Form Is… began as a simple idea: what if design could be expressed in the same playful, poetic way the “Love Is…” comics once captured feelings? As a child, those tiny strips left a lasting impression—short, sweet, and instantly recognizable.

This new series reimagines that spirit for a different world. Each entry pairs imagery with a thought, a fragment of philosophy, or a mood. Sometimes it’s rooted in design, sometimes in lifestyle, and often in the spaces where the two blur together.

Objects, memories, and atmospheres all have a role to play. A Polaroid camera becomes a symbol of nostalgia. A lamp might stand in for comfort. A chair for presence. Every piece is both a snapshot and an invitation—to see design not just as style, but as a way of living with meaning.

Some posts may be playful, others more reflective, but each is a reminder that style can be unapologetic, soulful, and deeply personal.
